Judges

The Student Nursing Times Awards are judged by an independent panel of respected professionals from across nursing, healthcare and higher education.

Our judges include senior nurses, nurse educators, academics, healthcare leaders and previous award winners, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to every category. Their expertise helps ensure every entry is assessed fairly and against the published judging criteria.

We're incredibly grateful to all our judges for volunteering their time and supporting the next generation of nurses, nursing associates and educators.

Judging process

The Student Nursing Times Awards are recognised for their robust, independent and transparent judging process, ensuring every entry is assessed fairly and consistently.

Each award category is judged by an independent panel of experts from across nursing, healthcare and higher education. Every submission is reviewed against the published judging criteria to identify the highest-scoring entries before finalists are invited to the live judging stage.

If you are shortlisted, you'll be invited to present to the judging panel as part of the final stage of judging.

Stage 1: Online Judging

Once entries have closed, the judging panel independently reviews and scores each submission against the published judging criteria. The highest-scoring entries in each category will be shortlisted.

Stage 2: Live Judging

Shortlisted entrants will be invited to present their work to the judging panel during an online live judging session. This is an opportunity to expand on your written submission, showcase your achievements and answer questions from the judges before the winners are selected.

Live judging will take place from Tuesday 17 to Wednesday 25 March 2027.(Category-specific judging dates will be confirmed closer to the time.)
