Chris is a highly experienced nurse consultant, lecturer and author, including numerous articles for the Nursing Times. The author of five books, his latest, Risk Assessment and Risk Management in Mental Health, is now in its second edition. Chris has an extensive background as a nurse consultant in forensic mental health and liaison psychiatry but has had a variety of clinical, educational and managerial roles in the NHS and nursing education. He has spoken at conferences throughout the UK and abroad. He now leads a number of major projects on behalf of his company, MindWorks London. These include Reducing Deaths in Custody, a teaching and development project provided in a number of prisons in partnership with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, combining unique educational packages with specially designed clinical simulations unique to the clinical setting of the students and using professional actors.
