I am currently working as Education Facilitator at Saint Francis Hospice. I have over 40 years of experience in nursing, education, and workforce support and development. As a registered nurse and Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), I am passionate about supporting the development of the future nursing workforce through high-quality learning experiences, supportive supervision and compassionate leadership. I continue to undertake research exploring best evidence based approaches and student nurses’ experiences of caring for dying patients and their families. My expertise spans palliative and end-of-life care, clinical education, and professional development, giving me insights and perspectives which help me to contribute as a judge to the Student Nursing Times Awards.
