Lisa Berry is Lead Research Matron at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust, providing senior nursing leadership across the NIHR Southampton Clinical Research Facility and NIHR Commercial Research Delivery Centre Wessex. She leads multidisciplinary teams delivering paediatric and adult early-phase, complex and commercial research across hospital and community settings, with a strong focus on safety, ensuring participants receive exceptional care and that research creates opportunities and partnership working for patients and communities. She is passionate about developing the research workforce, creating career opportunities and supporting nurses to lead, innovate and improve practice. Nationally, she holds a leadership role within the NIHR UKCRF Network. A Nursing Times Award winner and two-time PharmaTimes Award winner, Lisa is delighted to continue as a Student Nursing Times Awards judge, recognising and celebrating the achievements, leadership and potential of the next generation of nurses.
