I am an experienced healthcare educator and leader with a background in adult nursing, public health, and practice education. After qualifying as an Adult Nurse in 2008, I began my career working within medical assessment services before undertaking specialist training as a Health Visitor (SCPHN). Throughout my career, I have been passionate about supporting learners and developing the future healthcare workforce. This interest led me to complete mentorship, coaching, and leadership qualifications, alongside taking on roles focused on practice education within the NHS. In these positions, I worked closely with students, educators, and healthcare providers to enhance learning experiences, strengthen placement quality, and support workforce development initiatives. In 2021, I joined the higher education sector as Director of Practice Education and Engagement. In this role, I lead practice learning and stakeholder engagement across undergraduate health and social care programmes, working collaboratively with partners to ensure high quality learning opportunities, excellent student experiences, and positive outcomes for the future health and care workforce.
