I am currently Head of Nursing for Mental Health for Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust and The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust.
I have been a Mental Health nurse for over 10 years.
I trained at Birmingham City University and was awarded student mental health nurse of the year for the student nursing times awards in 2013. I started my career of in BSMHFT within speciality services, I have also worked within RAID, HTT, Liaison Services, Inpatient acute, Bed Management and Community Services for Mental Health.
I have developed through my career taking every opportunity and developed into my current role as Head of Nursing for Mental Health for Walsall Healthcare Trust and The Royal Wolverhampton. I was privileged to be awarded the British Journal of Nursing, Silver award for Mental Health nurse of the year in 2023.
I am committed to providing excellence in care for our patients and support whole heartedly the importance of the future work force and I am proud to be a part of the Student Nursing Times Awards this year.
