Pat commenced her nursing career in 1978 and worked in general medical nursing. Ten years later Pat moved into Nurse Education, to take up a role as Clinical Teacher. This was followed by a move to Anglia Ruskin University teaching both pre-and post-registration nursing. Since 2010, Pat has acted as an Education Champion, this role involves enhancing and monitoring the quality of the clinical learning environment. Pat works closely to provide support and guidance for clinical staff involved in the supervision and assessment of nursing students. This role is highly valued to maintain relationships and quality assurance between the University and Practice Partners. Pat is passionate about ensuring that student nurses have a positive learning experience whilst on clinical placement.
