Joy is a Newly Registered Adult Nurse with a passion for clinical research. Joy undertook an optional Research Nursing placement as an undergraduate and has a proven track record of publication success and recognition in numerous multi-national award shortlisting’s and awards for her patient advocacy work in digital health. Among numerous national panels, Joy sits on the RePAIR Impact Study Oversight Group looking at the Impact of Covid-19 on student retention. Joy’s undergraduate achievements extend to advocating for peers as UNISON national student nurse lead during turbulent pandemic times. As a member of the Council of Deans 150 Leaders programme Joy successfully launched a national project with the BBC which aired inspiring video diaries of student placement experiences during the first wave of covid-19.  Joy is also part of a new steering group launching the NHS England national shared decision-making council for Early Career Nurses.
