Catherine is a newly qualified Mental Health Nurse, winner of the Student Nursing Times Award 22: Mental Health, postgraduate student, See Me volunteer, and academic researcher. Catherine is passionate about promoting empathy, creativity, compassion, and inclusivity to elevate Mental Health Nursing practice. Utilising both Trauma-Informed and Person-Centred care values to build on therapeutic relationships and break down misconceptions and stigma related to mental ill health. Since winning the 2022 award, Catherine has gone on to work within a complex care setting, develop research reflecting on Nursing education, and is undertaking a postgraduate degree in Psychology
