Sarah started her nursing career in 1983 at the age of 17 undertaking a pre nurse course in Orthopaedics. Once qualified she took up a role in Intensive Care at Cardiff University Hospital in Wales. In 1997, Sarah moved to West Hertfordshire NHS Trust Intensive care unit. Over the years she moved through the different roles culminating in her taking up the post of the Matron for Intensive Care. In 2014, she moved to a corporate role as the Quality Lead Nurse leading on many Trust wide initiatives. After 22 years at West Hertfordshire Trust she moved to Buckinghamshire Healthcare Trust as the Head of Nursing for Integrated Medicine which encompasses the Accident and Emergency department, acute and medical specialities.
