Dr Catherine Henshall MN, RGN, MA, PhD is NIHR Associate Director of Nursing and the NIHR 70@70 Senior Nurse and Midwife Research Leader Programme Director. She is also a clinical academic nurse and holds a joint position between Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, as Head of Research Delivery and Oxford Brookes University as a Reader in the Oxford School of Nursing and Midwifery. Catherine is also a member of the Oxford Precision Psychiatry Lab at Oxford University and Chair of the Research Interest Group for Lung Cancer Nursing UK. She is Principal Investigator on numerous research studies and her research interests include cancer survivorship, self-management, mental health and nursing workforce development. Catherine is on the editorial board of BMC Health Services Research and the Journal of Clinical Nursing and peer reviews for numerous academic journals. Her clinical background is in oncology nursing.
