Bronagh has held a number of executive director of nursing roles in Health and Social Care Trusts in Northern Ireland, London and Wales. She was also Director of Nursing Policy and Practice for the Royal College of Nursing from December 2018-December 2019. In 2015 Bronagh was appointed, by the Health Minister in Northern Ireland, as the Nurse Adviser to the expert independent panel chaired by Raphael Bengoa, tasked with leading an informed debate on the best configuration of Health and Social Care services in Northern Ireland. Bronagh is a Trustee for the Charity United Response which provides community based services for people with Learning Disability and severe Head Injuries across England and Wales. She was appointed as Non Executive Director (Nursing) for the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA) in Northern Ireland in November 2020 and has recently been appointed Chair of the Northern Ireland Practice and Education Council (NIPEC) Northern Ireland.
