Nurse Education Provider Post-Registration

London North West Healthcare

The ICU Education Team at LNWUHT transformed post-pandemic challenges into an opportunity for innovation and growth. Facing a diverse and emotionally impacted workforce, we created a revolutionary, inclusive education program centred on accessibility, holistic support, and tailored learning. Highlights include an in-house postgraduate course bringing university-level education directly to staff, leadership development initiatives, and team-building activities supported by a psychologist and human factors experts. Our efforts have enhanced retention, boosted confidence, and fostered cultural integration. By putting staff at the heart of our strategy, we’ve rebuilt our workforce and set a new standard for nursing education excellence.

Manchester Metropolitan University

The School of Nursing has a longstanding history of delivering high-quality post-registration nursing programmes. Since 2017, we have been instrumental in developing post-registration nursing apprenticeships, helping employers to upskill their workforces. Our post-registration provision includes Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP), District Nurse (DN), Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN), and various CPD courses, including Non-Medical Prescribing. Our student outcomes for post-registration programmes are exceptional and our courses are the only ones rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted under their new framework. These co-designed programmes ensure nurses are well-prepared to address sector needs and contemporary healthcare challenges, combining academic excellence with real-world impact.

University of Salford

The programme exemplifies excellence by preparing Specialist Community Public Health Nurses (SCPHN) and Community Nurse Specialist Practitioners (CNSP) to meet evolving health and social care demands. Grounded in co-production, inclusivity, and research, it integrates diverse community voices into its design, fostering compassionate, inclusive leadership. Our innovative pedagogy ensures equitable learning, with EDI-focused processes improving pass rates from 74% to 85%. Students benefit from interprofessional learning, global collaborations, and tailored modules to address contemporary challenges. Supported by a research-active faculty, the programme aims to support community nurses to become high-quality practitioners equipped to lead and innovate.
