Ash Bainbridge (they/he) is a Continuity of Care midwife who works to improve LGBTQ+ care outcomes and experiences. For their contributions to research and community building, Ash is cited in textbook Mayes' Midwifery as an example of student leadership challenging injustice and unsafe care. He served as trustee for White Ribbon Alliance UK, gender inclusion advisor for safer pregnancy charity MAMA Academy, and has facilitated LGBTQ+ competency education and training developments for perinatal and neonatal healthcare staff and students across the UK. Ash was named Student Midwife of the Year at the 2024 Student Nursing Times Awards.
