I have been privileged to have worked in the NHS and Higher Education since qualifying as a Registered General Nurse in 1989. My passion and research expertise has been focused on Simulation-Based Learning and how this learning strategy can improve patient care through active student participation. In 2023 I was fortunate in having this recognised winning the Student Nursing Times Educator of the Year Award. The trophy sits proudly on my desk reminding me daily on how improving student learning has a direct impact on improving the quality of care.
