Nina Shamaris is a Senior Lecturer at Birmingham City University, where she teaches BSc/MSci undergraduates across various fields, including child, adult, learning disabilities, and mental health nursing. With a diverse background in theatre, surgical, and prison nursing, Nina brings a wealth of practical experience to her teaching. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Professional Practice in Healthcare (Postgraduate).
In her academic role, Nina serves as a module convenor for the year 3 and 4 leadership and decision-making module. She is passionate about demonstrating the significance of leadership and the process of rational decision-making, helping students bridge the gap between theory and practice.
Nina’s innovative approach to leadership development has led to the creation of the “Leadership Team Roulette,” a concept that has been successfully adapted into a digital board game under contract with a gaming company.
