With over 20 years of experience as a paediatric nurse, Rachel has developed a diverse and extensive clinical background spanning medical, surgical, Paediatric Intensive Care, and community nursing. For the past 12 years, Rachel has specialised in paediatric gastroenterology and nutrition, providing expert care and advancing best practices in this critical field.

Rachel's dedication to clinical nutrition led to being shortlisted for Clinical Nutrition Professional of the Year in 2023, recognising her contributions to improving patient outcomes. Throughout her career, she has been actively involved in research, publishing papers on nutrition and gastroenterology, and has had the privilege of speaking at national conferences, sharing expertise and shaping clinical practice.

Since 2021, Rachel has trained and practised as a Professional Nurse Advocate (PNA), providing restorative clinical supervision to support the wellbeing and professional development of colleagues. During the second wave of COVID-19, Rachel was redeployed to intensive care, working alongside critical care teams to support life-saving treatment in an exceptionally challenging environment. This experience further strengthened Rachel’s commitment to staff advocacy, recognising the importance of supporting healthcare professionals to sustain a resilient and effective workforce.

Currently, Rachel works as a Product Specialist for Inspiration Healthcare, a global provider of pioneering medical technology. In this role, Rachel supports the development and implementation of innovative solutions in nutrition, helping to advance patient care through cutting-edge technology and working with NHS and private providers, and patients.
