Sue trained at Guy’s Hospital as part of the final cohort to qualify as an SRN. After gaining experience in various staff nurse roles across orthopedics, renal, dermatology, and St Christopher’s Hospice, Sue obtained the district nurse qualification, solidifying a lifelong passion for community nursing. In 2014, Sue was honored with the prestigious title of Queen’s Nurse by the Queen’s Nursing Institute. Building on extensive clinical experience, Sue transitioned into roles in service improvement and NHS England before joining Health Education England (HEE) as an Education Commissioner. At HEE, Sue served as the workforce transformation lead for Wessex and later as Senior Nurse for the Southeast region. Recognized for contributions to nursing education, Sue holds an Honorary Fellowship from the University of Winchester. In 2022, Sue joined the Foundation of Nursing Studies, continuing a dedicated career in advancing the nursing profession.
