Leena is an experienced educator and clinical practitioner with 30 years in nursing. Passionate about safety, quality, and compassionate care, she currently serves as Senior Lecturer at Edge Hill University. Previously, Leena led the MSc Integrated Nurse Paramedic course and is now working on a QI project to enhance Nurse Paramedics’ employability. A graduate of PGIMER, Chandigarh, she began her career in Emergency Medicine and Coronary Care before migrating to the UK in 2002, where she transformed care delivery as a Care Home Manager. Transitioning to education, she has significantly influenced high-quality nurse education, including curriculum development. Leena is an External Assessor and Examiner at Anglia Ruskin University and mentors global majority nurses. She is Co-Chair of the Alliance of Senior Kerala Nurses (ASKeN) and recipient of several national awards, including the INMA Leader of the Year. Currently, she is pursuing the prestigious FNF Strategic Leadership Scholarship.
