Alison Warren joined Birmingham City University as a Senior Lecturer 2019 following a career in clinical practice nursing spanning 38 years. She has both Child and Adult nursing qualifications. Alison is now the College Academic Lead for Practice Learning and is responsible for the strategic oversite of the practice components of the nursing and midwifery programmes. During her career she has actively been involved in research, published and engaged in innovative projects both clinically and in education including co authorship of the "Mind the Gap- Exploring the needs of early career nurses and midwives in the workplace" report and the development of a clinical holding website. Alison has been Student Nursing Times Finalist three times for an online simulation model, work on health inequalities and the creation and expansion of practice learning experiences for students.
