Central to Marks daily practice is the concept of putting people first, supporting patients and their families and providing safe and effective patient centred care. He is passionate about the continued development and support of fellow healthcare professionals and students. He has been particularly impressed by the way student nurses in the NHS rose to the challenge of the pandemic and provided invaluable care to patients when the NHS was under such unprecedented pressure. Mark believes that only by investing in student nurses today, can we ensure that the future workforce encompasses the visons, values and caring culture of the NHS. Marks proudest moment as a nurse to date has been the nomination and subsequent achievement of winning the Student Nursing Times Practice Supervisor of the Years of the Year in 2021. He is honoured to have been asked to be a judge this year and is excited at the prospect of finding another worthy winner.
