Lisa has worked in the Clinical Education Team at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust since 2016 she has completed her PG Cert in Higher Education and a PG Cert in Simulation. She is responsible for managing and coordinating student nurse and trainee nurse associate placements across the organisation and supporting other students on a course leading to registration; including organising induction and ensuring placements are suitable for students; and preparation of the practice assessor. She supports the clinical areas and is able to liaise with the universities if necessary to ensure a high standard of supportive practice is maintained and issues are resolved promptly. Lisa is passionate about multi-professional learning and support a monthly student surgery which allows for peer support, discussion and teaching to take place which is relevant to all healthcare professions. She is involved in the simulation faculty and work with the team to involve students in simulation exercises to support their learning needs and develop confidence alongside knowledge and skills. She is also responsible for the Preceptorship programme and this builds on the relationship she has with the students into registration. She is currently working towards being a Professional Nurse Advocate so can build this into the student and preceptorship programmes within the Trust.
