Grant King is an award-winning lecturer in mental health nursing and the academic lead for learning disability at the University of Dundee. His clinical career focused on child development and the mental health of children, young people and their families. Grant’s career took him from NHS Lothian, to NHS Fife and finally to NHS Tayside. He has also worked for the Scottish Government developing maternal and child health policy as well as working in the third sector for Action for Children. Grant also has a particular clinical and academic interest in spiritual care delivery and was the lead for spiritual care in the mental health services in NHS Tayside. He also works with University colleagues in arts and humanities in the exploration of the intersection between these disciplines and nursing / healthcare; specifically though the medium of comics.
