Lawrence started his mental health nursing career in 1986 and has spent almost 28 years in academia, more specifically at Middlesex University.
He has broad knowledge and expertise in mental health nursing practice, education and pedagogical research.
His interest lies in transcultural care, diversity and inclusivity issues and bridging the theory-practice gap in nursing.
Lawrence is passionate about patient and service user empowerment and inspiring students to reach their potential. He believes in celebrating not only the achievements of experts but also of novices. Having had some key role models in his nursing career, he would also like to inspire others to reach their goals.
Lawrence is also passionate about social justice issues and participates in external and voluntary activities in this regard.
