As a Newly Qualified Nurse, Amma is an exceptional person who is not afraid to walk in uncharted territories. Her courage and bubbly personality enables her to work in diverse environments. She is a sincere individual who is active in empowering and promoting excellence in the nursing profession whilst also striving to empower, improve and impact positively on the lives of people through her clinical and charity work.
Amma has been involved in charity work abroad for the past 4 years by setting up reading clubs for children in deprived communities. Prior to that, she was running parenting classes in the UK to empower parents who have children with challenging behavior.
Amma Frimpong is a multi-talented person with a Bachelor’s degree in ICT in Education from University of East London and a Master of Science in Adult Nursing from the University of Essex. She aspires to continue working with families from diverse backgrounds and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Her most impressive achievement has been her tenacity in perusing a different career path in nursing after years of teaching and raising a family. My most recent achievement was winning the Mary Seacole Award for Outstanding Contribution to Diversity and Inclusion 2020, organised by Student Nursing Times.
Apart from work, Amma is passionate about gardening and setting up reading clubs for children.
