Brunel’s Student Nursing Associate programme is “Outstanding”, with a student satisfaction rating 12% above the national average. The Brunel team understands the unique nature of the role of learners, adapting teaching to support apprentice achievement and extend development and focus to build individualised professional relationships with students and practice partners alike. Providing a cohesive partnership that produces experienced, proficient Nursing Associates who add strength to the workforce in the immediate and long term. Students and employers consistently recognise that the team goes above and beyond to support students and employers alike with outstanding results.

Middlesex University

This Nursing Associate programme, is established, successful and highly evaluated by the students. It has a unique and collaborative way of working with employers from acute trusts, mental health trusts, primary care and adult social care. The placement model of reciprocal placements is successful and supports learning from a range of areas that students can then bring into their own practice. The programme team are committed to the role and the programme as evidenced by publication of books for SNAs developed to specifically recognise and support these students.

Teesside University

The Student Nursing Associate Programme at Teesside University offers the opportunity for learners to study via an apprenticeship or non apprenticeship route to become a Registered Nursing Associate. The programme excels in providing a supportive and nurturing environment to enable individuals to realise and maximise on their potential. The programme currently has over 400 learners on the programme and we work with over 60 partners nationwide. The programme has been recognised by the Student Nursing Times twice winning the Student Nursing Times- Nursing Associate Provider of the Year in 2020 and 2023 and a finalist in 2021 and 2024.

University of Salford

Our nomination highlights our commitment to a learner-centered, inclusive, and innovative educational experience at the University of Salford. Since 2017, we have expanded our reach, attracting apprentices and Direct Entry students. We focus on equipping learners with essential skills for the evolving healthcare landscape, prioritizing student success and satisfaction. Our use of podcasting as an assessment tool enhances digital literacy and prepares students for real-world communication. With a dedicated team and diverse teaching methods, we foster adaptability, critical thinking, and community, empowering the next generation of nursing associates to enhance patient care.

University of Worcester

The University of Worcester has provided the FdSc Nursing Associate course since 2018 for both the apprenticeship and traditional learner routes, collaborating with our employer partners to support Student Nursing Associates (SNAs) to obtain excellent achievement rates. The Nursing Associate course team are truly inspiring and pride themselves on nurturing, developing and recognising the talents of the SNAs and their contribution to high quality patient care across the region. SNAs have shared their challenges and how the team have supported them to learn and embed their new knowledge into patient care and employers share their satisfaction in this achievement.
