Kingston University (KU) launched the Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship (RNDA) in March 2023. The first cohort graduated with exceptional results. The programme is highly regarded. The second cohort completes this year and a third starts in March. The programme is co-created with practice partners to meet service demands and learner needs. Strong relationships with local partners and supportive leadership contributes to the programme's success. Key factors are the personal tutor system and peer support with learners benefiting from innovative teaching methods and excellent academic and pastoral support. KU's commitment to high-quality education is reflected in its TEF Gold rating.

Liverpool John Moores University

Liverpool John Moores University has a broad and successful portfolio of nursing apprenticeships with retention rates in excess of 90%. We celebrate the achievements, efforts and successes of our apprentices and apprenticeship staff, and have exceptional working relationships with our employer partners. We work collaboratively with other HEIs and employers by chairing a regional health apprenticeship forum which aims to share best practice, problem-solve complex apprenticeship issues in a collaborative way and contribute to research on apprenticeships. Our dedicated apprenticeship team supports apprentices to achieve their goals, develop their skills whilst promoting an inclusive apprenticeship community that encourages life-long learning.

Manchester Metropolitan University

The Department of Nursing has a longstanding history of delivering high-quality nursing programmes. Since 2017, we have been instrumental in developing apprenticeship pathways, helping employers engage with these opportunities to upskill their workforce. Our post-registration (post-reg) apprenticeships, including District Nurse (DN), Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN), and Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) programmes, are the only ones in the UK rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted under the new framework.
